On the 27th, Mum and Dad took the girls down to the coast while James and I celebrated my birthday a day early with some friends. We headed down to the coast the next day as I really wanted to spend my birthday with the girls. We didn’t arrive there until late in the afternoon but I was greeted with lovely little surprises with the girls. Sarah bought me some socks to wear to the gym and Olivia had bought me a lovely little pair of purple, dangly butterfly earrings, chosen by her of course (thanks, Mum). Oli was so keen for me to wear them everywhere – she just loves them! I have to say they are probably not quite what I would have chosen for myself but nonetheless, they are very special and I love them because they were chosen by her.
We spent about another week at the coast with Mum and Dad. In that time, we managed to catch up with a few friends who’d also travelled down to the coast with their families. The girls had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and the water was divine. Besides spending a lot of time in the water, we spent a great deal of time collecting shells (you wouldn’t believe our shell collection at home!) and building sandcastles. It was a lovely relaxing week, especially after getting such great scan results a couple weeks beforehand.
The following week was pretty much spent at home getting ready for Olivia’s 5th birthday party.
