Olivia’s birthday party.  It was a great day.  The weather was perfect.  I couldn’t think of a more appropriate place for Olivia’s party than her very own fairy garden. Olivia dressed up in her favourite ‘rainbow’ fairy dress and looked just beautiful.  Sarah chose to be a princess and wore her favourite Sleeping Beauty dress and also looked gorgeous.  There was a lot of excitement in our house that morning. Luckily, I was fairly organised this year and everything was ready to by 12.30 at the start of the party.  We cracked open the sparkling wine for the adults who came and the kids overdosed on lollies, chips and chocolates.  We also had a sausage sizzle.  About 16 of Olivia’s friends came and they were entertained by Nessa the Fairy the whole time.  She was fantastic!  She told stories, did facepainting, bubbles and conducted a wishing stone ceremony  She really engaged the kids and stayed well and truly passed the time we hired her for which was very generous of her.  I would recommend her to anyone.

Olivia’s cake was a chocolate piñata cake, chosen by her.  She had been nagging me for quite some time to make this cake for her party.  It was basically a chocolate cake with a hollow centre filled with M&M’s, Freckles and chocolate money.  The cake was then covered with a decorated chocolate shell which Olivia would smash with a toy hammer.  After Olivia smashed it, the kids raided the cake for all the chocolates.

Olivia was very spoilt and received lots of lovely presents from her friends.  We all had a fantastic time.  We are just so grateful that Olivia was here to celebrate her birthday with all her family and friends.  Every day is an absolute blessing to us and we never ever take that for granted.
